Cortana now helps you keep the promises you made in emails
I've got some really good news for those who rely on Microsoft's virtual assistant. The IT giant has just released an update for Cortana, which improves the service's scheduling options and helps keep track of the promises you made via email. However, before you get too excited, you should know that at least at the moment, these new features are only available for the Windows version of Cortana. Unfortunately, Microsoft didn't offer any information about when this new functionality will arrive to the iOS and Android apps.
Probably the best thing about this new update is the fact that Cortana can now help you keep the promises that you make via e-mail. To be perfectly honest, it won't help you actually fulfill those promises, but it can make sure that you don't forget about them. The virtual assistant scans your emails and whenever you tell someone that you're going to do something by a specified deadline, Cortana will offer to set a reminder to ensure that it won't slip your mind. As you can see, the process isn't yet fully automated, but it's still pretty useful. The other big change, the scheduling enhancement can make a huge difference when you're dealing with unexpected appointments. Cortana is now much better at dealing with sudden changes in your schedule that overlap with the plans that you have made previously.
