Problem running SI on 64

I have windows 7 on 64bit arch. I have had si running for years on this system. I had noted a few weeks ago that si never finishes the online checking for versions. I thought I'd just wait for an upgrade and then try again. Well I installed 1.3.1092-0 after completely removing the old version (1.2.something...). It uninstalled OK and the new version installed ok. But just like the old version it just stops. On the new version when the initial screen when the words Software Informer are the progress gauge. It gets to the final r and then just does stops. It doesn't seem to do anything to the system as I can simple use task manager to stop it and all seems well. I've tried many ways to uninstall reboot reinstall reboot start. All ends the same. I don't know what to look at here or if this is a bug with 64bit arch. Any advise?

And it will be nice if there where an option where you can chance the download folder.

I have Mac Informer, but this may apply to SW Informer as well.
Like a lot of Mac owners, I don't have all of my software in the Applications folders, but have separated them into folders for Applications, Utilities, Internet, and so on, simply because there are so many apps that I use, and it's easier to find them this way. All of these folders are at root level, BTW. In all of those folders, there may be sub-folders (video converters, for example) as well.

There should be some way (in Preferences? Mine is grayed out) to tell Mac Informer where to look for all software; adding folders other than the Applications ƒ, which seems to be the only place M/I looks.

How can I translate software informer client into Persian/Farsi language? I did not find anything related to language while the client has some different languages in its language menu.

How does SI get copies of certain programs, as to get icons and such?

http://is-twl-debugger.software.informer.com/ for example, probably drivers or software for the magic blue box! (nintendo dev, don't ask) Unfortunately, warioworld.com hates me, and I can't get a direct download link!

Can someone working for SI or an admin of some sort find out how Intelligent Systems software got on here, and maybe send the software to my email box ( kd8ouy at austinburk d0t c0m )?
istd.exe is the Intelligent Systems TWL debugger.
You must have access to the actual program to get the icon, right?

I must check compatibility and the site lists all versions without any ranking.

Subscribe to e-mail notifications - Not working

I am trying to subscribe to the e-mail notifications but it does not seem to work.
Has this been implemented yet?
I have tried firefox 4 and IE 8 and it still does not work, i can subscribe to other things though.

Hi,

Firstly congratulations on a great piece of software and an even better site.

However, I wonder if you have missed the most amazing thing on your website. Reading the forum, it seems most people view SI as a tool for keeping their software updated. Which is great, but I think your database of peoples' software could be just as useful.

I can't tell you how many days I've wasted trawling google looking for the exact program that does what I want. I think SI could be a great way of finding new software if you would allow advanced searches using members anonymous program lists. At the moment you can see a list of people who use one program. I think you should allow searches for members who have installed two or more pieces of software that you specify. The chances are you will find someone doing what you want and will have the software you need. Unfortunately, I can't find this feature anywhere.

Changing default browser from firefox???

hi everyone. somehow or another, the default browser for my SI has become firefox, which i rarely ever use. any suggestions on how to change it to my default browser, IE8? i even uninstalled and reinstalled SI but it didn't help.

help! I can't download a software

The name of the software is GPS Pathfinder Office.
When i hit the download button, it redirect to another page and says "the download should begin shortly " .
Then the page seems to be dead.

When i first installed Software informer there was 3 tab (Your software, notifcations, giveawayoftheday). I have changed my operation system and downloaded new software installer. Now there is only 2 tab (your software, notifications). I wanna see again giveawayoftheday tab. How can I do that? Please help me. Thanks.;)
