Sharing Printer over several computer's

Not sure at this time if this is the forum for this type of problem: if not then please direct me to the correct forum.

I have the Kodak ESP3200 USB'ed to my G4 .

In mac os leopard the system preferences are set to share this printer with several other computers in my building.

The problem I have encountered much to my chagrin is that after some period of time the printer defaults to off when it is not in use and will NOT turn it's self back ON from a remote computer. When I send a document to print from another computer the printer utility tells me that it is looking for the USB connection ( or some such message) and never prints.

Then if i walk down to the G4 located in another office i have to physically hit the ON button on the printer itself.

How do overcome that problem of the printer shutting itself OFF when not in use for a certain amount of time.?
