Topic: The Ghost of Data Protection

I am trying to install AVG Internet Security and it keeps stopping and requiring the removal of Data Protection. DP has already been removed but AVG can't get beyond that point.
Any sgugestions on how to clear the Ghost of DP?

Delete it in the register under software using windos regedit.
