There doesn't appear to be any other way than that: the software isn't free, and there's no trial version available in any form except for an online demo (http://designcom.nedgraphics.com/).

And before you ask: we don't distribute pirated copies, nor tolerate their distribution.

You can do the former without even touching the client: there's a Download button on the page you're linking to.

In any case, it's quite weird that your antivirus is acting up like that: we're quite positive there are no viruses in the SI client. Are you sure it was the SI client that caused that reaction?
