It didn't install it's self, I installed it myself. As far as privacy goes, you can make it private or public, the same as face-book or any other program. Anyone that gets frustrated because they don't take the time to learn how to use it, will also call it crap. I like to try all kinds of software, and Software Informer is one of the great one's.
