how do i submit software?

I understand that installed software that hasn't been recognised by the SI-Client before is added automatically (how often is an update sweep done?)

But just as importantly: how can we add software that we use often but that maybe doesn't come with an installer (standalone or zipped distributables), or that are packaged in a "portable apps" style fashion?

For example, I use a program called ÜberView but it doesn't use an installer and so SI Client would never find it.  Perhaps a user should be able to add it to their list of software?  Or perhaps you could let SI-Client scan for executable programs on a drive or in a folder (much like Launchy does) and allow the user to pick the software they wish to keep an eye on?
