Top tweaking programs for real gamers
So you consider yourself a real PC gamer, huh? You already have a decent keyboard, a top-notch mouse-monitor-chair-headphones? Well, that’s all fine and dandy, but what if I told you there’s a way to one-up your experience even more – program-wise? Sometimes all it takes is a few easy tweaks here and there to drastically improve your PC’s performance or neatly organize your content. Let’s dig into some common solutions for Windows-based machines!
Game boosters
It doesn’t matter whether you’re using a modern hi-end PC or a slightly outdated one – you could always use a little boost. This class of tweaking software provides just that by shutting or slowing down background processes to prioritize your game. Programs like Razer Game Booster or Superb Game Boost analyze your system to give more CPU and GPU powers to the application of your choice. Don’t expect miracles however! These programs might slightly improve the frame rate and the level of detail, but they won’t help you run, say, Mass Effect: Andromeda, on an older slower PC. You’ll have to upgrade your hardware for that. But, hey, it’s better than nothing! Plus, each come bundled with unique little features, like monitoring your hardware temperature or formatting your game files for faster loading.
