How to improve reception with HDM 156 with a weak signal

My tower in a residential area is far from the next tower so I have a slow data rate. It did improve a little bit after I fixed the modem with an USB extension on a tree.
I have a Tube -U(G) Longe- Range antenna with Outdoor IEEE 802.11g USB Adapter
This is a antenna mainly to catch other WLAN signals
but I dont know how to connect it my own USB modem??????
