But it doesnt seem able to distinguish what version of Windows your system is running, and thus correctly report the latest versions for that system.

Many updates are restricted to operating systems windows XP upwards and not usable for e.g. Windows 2000.For example the tuneup utilities.

you kow its funny all you want to do is update your software and they are asking for money as though you just purchased the software off the shelf. Maybe thats the way it works any Ideas or resonces.
